A growing succulent seedling needs the right kind of soil that supplements it with the required nutrition and support. The soil must be well aerated and be quick draining. The soil should also dry out quickly and have a very low water retention capacity. So sandy soils with a mix of rough stones are quite efficient for the growth of a succulent.
Before growing or repotting your succulent, there are a few tests you are supposed to carry out to determine if the soil is good or not. First, the soil should crumble easily to touch.
